Events and Activities
Brotherhood Events
Brotherhood Events at the Gamma Chi chapter of Sigma Nu have recently included paint-balling, trips to the family fun center, and tastings of beers from around the world. We believe that being part of a tight-knit brotherhood is essential to the experience of what it truly means to live as a man of Honor, and there really isn’t a better way to grow along with the other young men around you than to have fun. We also conduct Brotherhoods specifically geared toward benefitting our community through philanthropy. Getting everyone in the house together to accomplish a philanthropic goal is another fantastic way to learn through Brotherhood what the core values of Love, Honor, and Truth in Sigma Nu really mean.
Social Events
The Gamma Chi chapter of Sigma Nu strives to connect with other houses in the Greek Community through a variety of social events. From grab-a-dates around Seattle, to formals on a boat we strive to extend our boundaries beyond just the university. There also are exchanges with sororities where we can create new friendships and build upon the relationships we already have. The UW Interfraternity Council sanctions a week-long event every year called Greek Week where Sigma Nu and many other houses participate in social events with each other, raising money in recent years for the B+ foundation. Ultimately the goal of our chapter’s social department is to connect our house with the rest of the University and offer events and activities that enhance the college experience for all of our members.
