Philanthropy

Members of the active Gamma Chi chapter have always been dedicated to service. The house requirement is 4 hours of service per quarter, with a majority of members consistently surpassing this minimum. The most popular events through the years have been donating blood through Bloodworks Northwest, Greenlake's Litter Patrol, movie nights at the Ronald McDonald House, and serving at the University District Food Bank. Every May, the chapter participates in the Seattle Brain Cancer Walk hosted by the Swedish Medical Center Foundation in honor of late brother Colin Carty.

Mr. Greek 2022

Every year the sorority Alpha Gamma Delta host Mr. Greek. Mr. Greek is a male beauty pageant consisting of talent, a personality walk, impromptu question, pick-up line, and group dance. These five categories make up each contestant’s score in addition to the amount they fundraise. This year our very own Tyrel Duckworth won the entire pageant, raising over $5,000 for Meals on Wheels, Feeding America, and Treehouse for Kids. Sigma Nu is honored to have been able to support selfless organizations and win Mr. Greek 2022.
