Alumni Mentoring Events
Our mentoring events, guided by the dedicated involvement of our Alumni Advisory Board, have a clear purpose: to inspire and support our active members. Through these events, we aim to empower our actives to reach their full potential and become confident, well-rounded individuals who make positive contributions to their communities and excel in their chosen paths. With the wisdom and guidance of our alumni mentors, we strive to shape the journey of our actives, fostering personal growth and preparing them for a successful future.
Senior Knight Dinner - 2023
What a tremendous success! The 5th annual Senior Knight Dinner was filled with great pizza, captivating conversations, and unforgettable moments. Our graduating Seniors took the spotlight as they shared their house experiences and their future career plans, leaving us inspired and energized!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Jay Cascio (PC '78) for graciously hosting the event at his wonderful U-Village restaurant, Delfino's Chicago Style Pizza. Your generosity and support made the evening even more special!
Cheers to a successful Senior Knight Dinner and to the bright futures that lie ahead for our graduating Seniors!
Founders Day - 2023
On April 27th, 2022, the Gamma Chi Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity celebrated Founders Day at the HUB, with a record turnout of over 150 Alumni and Actives. The event was mc’d by Alum Bruce Kroon and featured a special guest appearance by Husky Head Football Coach Kalen DeBoer.
The evening was filled with memorable highlights, including a chapter update delivered by Alum Jeff Roberts. Attendees were also privileged to hear from Bruce Richards and Tiffany Sommers who shared exciting news about a very generous gift from brother Gordy Richards.
Alumni Mentoring Workshop - 2023
The essentials of resume building and interviewing skills. Brian Allen, CEO of ATS automation, gives a brief workshop to the actives on the essentials of a dynamic resume and effective interview skills as seen from someone on the 'other side'. Over the years, he's screened and interviewed with hundreds of engineering and business applicants and he certainly had a lot to say about these topics.
Senior Knight Dinner - 2022
Jay Cascio hosted our Senior Knight dinner at his place: Delfino's Chicago Style Pizza. It was our fourth annual dinner and was a rousing success with the introduction of our newest Sigma Nu alumni. Biophysics research, Artificial intelligence, Big 4 accounting, graduate school for sustainable engineering: The future looks bright for these guys! Oh yeah, there was a lot of advice given by our alumni advisors.....
Career Night
This year Todd Tarbert facilitated a career fair representing alumni from the fields of medicine, real estate, residential development, Amazon, and computer science and, law. Networking, mentorships, and job shadowing were hot topics of discussion as the active chapter had a good chance to pick the brains of the old guard.
Senior Knight Dinner - 2017
Our Senior Knight Dinner featured our annual welcoming of our seniors into the alumni ranks of the Gamma Chi Chapter. There was certainly a lot to celebrate!
Senior Knight Dinner - 2016
The Sigma Nu Alumni Advisory Board (SNAAB's) hosted our second annual Senior Knight Dinner at the Seattle Yacht Club. Good times were had by all as sage advice was freely administered and the seniors laid out their plans for all. The alum were most impressed not only by this classes drive and determination, but by the bonds they have form over the last four years.
Career Fair - 2015
Rob Nichols graciously hosted another annual career fair for the active brotherhood. This year he brought some heavy hitters: Pete Nichols representing Quadrant homes, Tom Broznowski from Siemens USA, Steve Jarvis from Expedia, Darin Fox of ATS Automation, and Brad Denslow of Allstate Insurance. This has been an annual event highlighting successful alums from a myriad of career choices. Panel presentations were followed by Q and A and break out sessions. Great Job Rob!
Senior Knight Dinner - 2015
The start of a new tradition! In May of 2015 the Gamma Chi Alumni board decided on a new tradition: A special dinner honoring the hard work and accomplishments of our seniors. All alumni presented were allowed their '2 minutes' of advice for the seniors. That's a little tough for some of them! The food at Morton's Steakhouse as well as the enlightening conversation and copious advice made us all say, "Let's do it again!".
Founders Day - 2017
In honor of our founding members of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, the Gamma Chi Chapter put together a big bash at the HUB. Keynote speakers from the Husky football program as well as our own Dee McGonigle were on hand to enlighten us with word of wisdom. It was an amazing evening of reconnection with old friends , and new interaction with our new active chapter. This 'party' was grand, but only a molehill compared with our chapter's centennial bash planned for April 27th, 2017!
